5. John³ Mccracken (Robert², John¹) was born in Washington Co., Tennessee April 5, 1811. John died March 26, 1897 in Madison Co. Ark., at age 85.

He married three times. He married Nancy America Henry date unknown. Nancy was born date unknown. He married Elizabeth Mashburn date unknown. Elizabeth was born 1830. Elizabeth died date unknown at age unknown. He married Mary Buren Kenner 1842. Mary was born August 14, 1811 in Tennessee. Mary was the daughter of Col Eskridge 'C.E.' Kenner and Dorcas Burum. Mary died February 28, 1888 in Madison Co., Arkansas, at age 76.

John Mccracken and Mary Buren Kenner had the following children:

14 i. Sophia Dorcas⁴ McCracken was born in Madison Co., Arkansas February 22, 1843. Sophia died April 18, 1915 in Carrollton, Arkanasas, at age 72. She married twice. She married James J. 'Jim' Payne 1859 in Madison Co., Arkansas. James was born 1835 in Missouri. James was the son of William M. Payne and Eliza. James died 1861 in Civil War, at age 26. (See James J. 'Jim' Payne for the continuation of this line.) She married Samuel Sneed 1868. Samuel was born January 22, 1835 in Osage, Carroll Co. Ark.. Samuel was the son of Charles Sneed and Jane Coker. Samuel died December 26, 1905 in Carroll Co. Ark., at age 70.

15 ii. Francis Marion Mccracken was born in Madison Co. Ark. February 22, 1843. Francis died 1863 in Civil War, at age 20.

16 iii. Mary Burum 'bee' Mccracken was born in Madison Co. Ark. September 6, 1846. Mary died October 19, 1876 in Madison Co. Ark., at age 30. She married James Knox Polk Boatright date unknown. James was born December 23, 1847. James died July 10, 1939 in Kingston, Madison Co.Ark., at age 91.

17 iv. Nancy Ann 'nan' Mccracken was born in Madison Co. Ark. 1848. She married George M. Dallas Coker December 13, 1868 in Carroll Co. Ark.. George was born March 7, 1848 in Carroll Co. Ark.. George died June 23, 1927 at age 79.

18 v. Charlotta Loduska 'duck' Mccracken was born in Madison Co. Ark. May 4, 1851. Charlotta died August 26, 1902 at age 51.

19 vi. Zalmona E. 'zalley' Mccracken was born in Madison Co. Ark. 1855. She married James Knox Polk Coston date unknown. James was born date unknown.
