18. Henry³ Hastings (James², Henry¹) was born January 15, 1784. Henry died March 22, 1859 in Henry Co., Tenn., at age 75.

He married Martha Patsey Mcdaniel November 25, 1806 in Orange Co., N.C.. Martha was born January 27, 1787. Martha died February 24, 1864 in Henry Co., Tenn., at age 77.

Henry Hastings and Martha Patsey Mcdaniel had the following children:

29 vii. Sarah Sallie Hastings (living status unknown).

30 viii. Nancy Hastings (living status unknown).

31 ix. Margaret 'Peggy' Hastings was born 1808. Margaret died 1874 in Paris, Henry Co., Tenn., at age 66. She married Lewis Davis 1828. Lewis was born 1804. Lewis died 1864 in Henry Co., Tenn., at age 60. (See Lewis Davis for the continuation of this line.)

32 x. James Mcgowan Hastings was born January 9, 1811. James died October 5, 1880 at age 69. He married twice. He married Nancy Smith May 30, 1834. Nancy was born April 3, 1817. Nancy died October 16, 1850 at age 33. He married Mary Ann Smith October 12, 1853. Mary was born June 11, 1817. Mary died November 4, 1888 at age 71.
